Again

This is my newest novella, my take on forgiveness and trusting someone who almost killed you the first time around. It's out July 13th and is by far the most romantic thing I've ever written in my life. Hopefully that translates. Here's the blurb:

Six years ago, Noah Wheeler went to meet his boyfriend, Dante Cerreto, at the airport, and his world ended. Dante was kissing someone else and claimed to be in love. So Noah took his heartbreak—and the sonogram pictures of their surrogate child—and closed the door on the big picture of what he thought his life would be, focusing instead on the piece of the dream he got to keep, being a father.

Now on vacation in Las Vegas, Noah accidentally runs into Cerreto family, and then the man himself, and learns that not only was he deceived, but Dante was as well. Now Dante wants to make up for lost time, six years’ worth, and to do that he needs Noah, the only man he’s ever loved, and Grace, the daughter he didn’t know he had, to give him a chance at happiness. Dante’s going to have to take a crash course in communication and seduction, though. Noah’s not going to fall in love just to be broken again.

Didn't Reese do a beautiful job on the cover? I love it!

  5. Thanks guys! You know I usually don't do romance without, you know, demon-slayers or shape-shifting so hopefully you'll all enjoy my contemporary romance. You'll have to report back. :)

  16. Hi Ms. Calmes!
Just read an excerpt on All Romance.com and loved it! Speaking of which, All Romance has a companion site called ARe Café. Don’t know if you’ve heard of it? It’s basically just a site where you can talk about the books you’ve read and such. They also have contests for readers and authors. They have one for authors right now called “Take a Bite” where authors write an original paranormal short story and have a chance to win prizes. I know you’re super busy but I just thought I’d let you know, at the risk of embarrassing myself and having you delete this post. As my favorite author EVER I would love to see what you came up with. Anyway, looking forward to this new book! Can’t wait!! :D

Again is fluffy, not much angst happening there but I love, love. I love happy endings. I've tried to write something sad or bittersweet and I just can't do it. Maybe someday... I hope you like it. :)

Thanks for picking up Sinnerman and Ice, hopefully you liked them. I am proud of Sinnerman, I was really pleased with that one. Jackson is really important to me. As for the last warder book, that's Joe and Marcus' story. There's is an old love as they've been together for 5+ years. And the sequel to Timing is called After the Sunset. Hopefully the blurb will be up soon on DSP. :)

  21. Thank you Reiko and guineapigpeanut,if I was not in the middle of writing my 5th warder book and Christmas stories and another novel, I would try. But between all that and my EDJ, not much time left. Thank you for your wonderful words of encouragement. I am really so thrilled that everyone is looking forward to Noah and Dante's story. :)

  23. Come on 13th! I loved Sinnerman and Edge. Jackson and Raph have quickly become favorites of mine in that series. And I am thrilled to see in the comments above that the 3rd book in Change of Heart/Trusted Bonds series is finished. How I love Jin and Logan. Great news all around. I am really looking forward to the 13th.

  24. OMG, I unintentionally lied. Went to All Romance to read the excerpt again and, of course, couldn't find it. Read the excerpt at Dreamspinner. Sorry to anyone who went to All Romance looking for it. I have a horrible memory. That's why I have to use a spreadsheet to keep track of what books I have and where I got them. Anyway, thanks for replying Ms. Mary! :D

  25. That is outstanding news. I can't wait. Just finished After the Sunset for the 2nd time. Any more in this group? Maybe kids for Stef and Rand? More of the Holloways? I know, greedy but your books are so good!
