May I say that Pinterest is both the devil (time suck anyone?) and a lifesaver. Ever since I was sucked in, I have been able to put things up like apartment layouts, clothes, accessories, locales, and keep it all straight. Roman and Quade's home, for continuity with the sequel... awesome. Gun names? Yes. And probably too many different kinds of clothes but I can't help it. I have a subscription to Details Magazine after all.
Pinterest was helpful when the wonderful Reese Dante created the cover for my marshals, All Kinds Of Tied Down. She looked at my board so she could get the feel of what I wanted. And now I have a board for every city my characters live in and I love that. When I visited Long Beach, I fell in love with it which is why Frank lived there in Landslide. And now, the gorgeous New Orleans is home to Becker and Scott who are in my cookbook story, the small series I'm doing with Amy Lane, Marie Sexton, Amber Kell and RJ Scott. Being able to remember a place I've lived in or visited so I can have my guys walk the streets, mention taking a left or right, is the best. I like details that really ground the setting. I can't wait to got to GRL this year because I get to see wonderful authors and fans, but also, I'm so going down to the federal building on Dearborn. I want to go upstairs to where the marshals are. What are the chances that they'll let me up there? We'll just have to wait and see. :)
