November has been so good for Audiobook lovers! First off Audible just launched their romance subscription service! (http://happyeverafter.usatoday.com/2017/11/01/jessie-potts-audible-romance-subscription-service-launches/) and (https://www.audible.com/ep/Romance-Package?ref=a_home-page_c4_banner_img_0&pf_rd_p=15a168e9-6a18-4cc0-81dd-bb9bdce20507&pf_rd_r=8CSDSZCCQX4QT6CVVMHZ&)
There has also been a lot of great releases in subgenres and let me tell you I am in audio heaven! Here are a few of the recent ones I just finished:
Crazy by Eve Langlais, narrated by Summer Morton and Lee Samuels
Eve Langlais is the perfect author of fun romance and lots of laughs. This short (really only four hours) is all about vampires and a heroine who hears voices in her heads. The hero (our vampire) saves her from an insane asylum and battles (metaphysically and humorously) the ghost voices who want our heroines untouched! The dual narrators play off each other perfectly and again, this is so short I finished it in a day!
Safe and Sound by Lucy Lennox and Sloane Kennedy, narrated by Michael Pauley
This is the second book in their Twist of Fate series and is all about healing, friendship, and ultimately love. This one is a little darker, but the romance is worth the painful evolution and cathartic healing of Ash. It deals with abusive relationships, the psychological and emotional scars that will always be left behind, and finding a connection to another person. Paul narrates the two beautifully and I feel like this can be a standalone novel if you haven’t read/listened to the first one Lost and Found.
Love Like This by Sophie Love, narrated by Elaine Wise
This sweet story is the beginning of Sophie’s new series, The Romance Chronicles. I love the plot and would just die to be able to travel to Ireland! Keira’s next assignment is to travel to Ireland for a month, witness the festival of love, and debunk the myth of true love. I’m sure we can all guess what happens! She falls in love with Ireland and her tour guide! Beyond love and romance, and of course the gorgeousness that is Ireland, this is really a story about Keira figuring out who she is, and what she wants in life. It’s adorable.Happy listening everyone!!
